Our Choirs: Music is a central part of liturgy and worship at St. Luke's. Under the direction of Cathedral Musician Albert Melton, an accomplished adult choir provides sacred music at the 10 a.m. Sunday service and also presents choral Evensong on the first Sunday of the month. A youth choir also trains weekly and sings regularly. If you are interested in auditioning for either of these dynamic choirs, please contact Albert Melton.

The Skinner Organ: Our organ, a 1928 51-rank Skinner pipe organ, was recently restored to its original brilliance.

The Cathedral is also the site of regular concerts and musical programs featuring musicians from within and outside the Cathedral.

For those who may be interested in auditioning, weekly rehearsals are from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday evenings with a warm-up rehearsal at 8:45 on Sunday mornings before the 10:00 am service.  A great variety of music is prepared and offered as part of our worship on Sundays.

A cordial and enthusiastic invitation is extended to boys and girls 8 and older who like to sing to join our Cathedral Youth Choir.  Rehearsals are on Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00 pm and the Choir sings monthly.  It’s a fun and sometimes challenging way to learn to sing, to learn something about the basics of music, and to make a very important contribution to the worship life of the Cathedral.  Consider joining us.  For more information contact Albert at the church office (772-5434).
